Portraits
Portrait commissions are begun with a photo session. If
the client is not local to my location, which is Boulder, Colorado, I
must travel to photograph the subjects, unless the subjects to be photographed
can be brought to me. The actual painting is done in my studio. Unless
the subject is deceased or otherwise impossible to photograph, I photograph
the subjects myself. Along with the usual portraits of people and pets,
I offer "Still Life Portraits" which are still lifes done from
personal objects which have special meaning to the client. These objects
can be mailed to me or I can photograph them in the clients home.
The following prices are for a portrait of one subject
(person or animal). If there is to be more than one subject in the portrait,
the second subject is one half of the price of the first. Other discounts
apply for larger groups.

Murals
Murals generally need to be done on site, but I am willing
to travel. Murals can sometimes be done on canvas and shipped to the client.
Murals are priced only upon consideration of the size of the job and its
level of difficulty. It costs more if it needs to be painted while on
scaffolding. It also costs more if there is a lot of detail required (like
lots of foliage or flowers) or perspective (lots of buildings) or trompe
l'oeil (illusion). Generally, if a wall is approximately 10 feet long
and 6 or 8 feet high, you can expect to pay $2500 for a simple mural. |
